Adapted from a"case of treason and family killing" that caused a sensation in Hong Kong in 2013, Zhang Xianzong (Yang Weilun) and his friend Tang Wenqi (Mai Peidong) killed their parents in the apartment and dismembered them. When the case entered the court trial procedure, both of them denied the murder charge. Two senior barristers Wu Guanfeng (Lin Haifeng) and You Jiali (Su Yuhua) appeared in court to defend the case on behalf of both of them, while the prosecutor Zhu Ailun (Zhou Wenjian) questioned that the two had already deployed the murder plan, which seemed to be beyond doubt. However, after the exchange of attack and defense, the two barristers, Wu and You, showed their respective eloquence and revealed the more complicated and confusing aspects of the case, while Tang Wenqi pushed all the charges away when he appeared in court to defend himself. Under the intense court debate, the two defendants performed the drama of"genius" and"idiot", and the truth seemed to be more and more blurred. Nine jurors from different backgrounds wrestled with the right to speak in the lounge, and at the same time fell into a just debate about right and wrong.

改編自2013年一宗轟動全港的“逆子弑親案”，張顯宗（楊偉倫飾）聯同友人唐文奇（麥沛東飾）於寓所內殺害父母，並進行肢解。 案件進入法庭審訊程式，二人皆否認謀殺罪名，兩位資深大律師吳冠峰（林海峰飾）和遊嘉莉（蘇玉華飾）分別代表二人上庭辯護，檢控官朱愛倫（周文健飾）卻質疑二人早已部署殺人計畫，為財謀命似是毋庸置疑。 然而在攻守互換後，吳和遊兩位大律師施展各自辯才，揭露出案情中更為撲朔迷離之處，而唐文奇出庭自辯時更把一切指控推得一乾二淨。 在一幕幕激烈的法庭辯論下，兩位被告上演出“天才”與“白癡”的戲碼，真相似乎越辯越模糊。 九比特不同背景的陪審員在休息室展開話語權的角力，同時陷入對與錯的正義思辯中。
